Most pellet smokers now a days, at least with all the cool new tech will cost you in the ball park of $1,000 - $1,500.
But are budget pellet smokers worth it if you can't afford that?

Loved the video! When you put the brisket in is it cold from the fridge or do you let it come up to room temperature before you put it in.
I'll put it in cold from the fridge. But I do know some that will let it come up to room temp. I really can't tell a difference so to me longer in the smoker (when colder) means more smoke flavor, so win-win.

So I dont know if I should be mad or impressed. I love the grill but I have not been able to get the Wi-Fi to work and my burn pot is a pain in the butt to remove. I have reached out to support with no success.
Can it be coverted from propane to gas?
So it's been about a year, are you still using it? How did it work over the year?
For me, the only step I'd add is a few minutes on a flame (grill or BBQ) to carmelize the sauce and give it some bark. That's my preference. I've done ribs this way (less the injection, that's new to me) and everybody loves them.

Do yourselves a favor and go with a Smokin-it #3d smoker. It's identical to this , same build and everything BUT comes with a fully installed PID controller instead of the analog knob. Same price with even more control over heat settings.

I’ve had my recteq for four years, innumerable cooks, start it closed every time, hasn’t exploded one time. When I turn it off, it says Fan and gives me a countdown. Hopper is massive.
